Fun hiking buddies: Jessie, Camile, Catherine, Meredith
I recently had the pleasure of spending the morning with a few of the gals from Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls. They wanted to speak with someone from our Texas Conservation Corps Program who had worked on the Violet Crown Trail. Cat, a hard working, insightful participant in the Texas Conservation Corps led us on a tour, showing the work that she and her team had completed – installing 82 heavy signs posts to guide hikers. This was tough work in the hot, Texas sun, but her positive attitude and enjoyment of hard work carried her through it!
